Cleats

Postby larjoranj » June 15th, 2012, 11:11 pm

Anyone know a resource for dating cleats? Picked up a pair cheap at a flea market to add a different look to my glove collection. Wondering what decade they might be from.

If you can post a photo, or email it to me, I can probably give you a good idea.

They are a Rawlings Fleetfoot model K25F. Unused in the original box. They seem older and more primitive than my cleats from the late 60's. I'm guessing the 50's?

I found the K25F in the 1958 Rawlings catalog as a $9.95 when the top of the line KF went for $28.50. The K25F was fifth in the line for quality. The illustration of the shoe did not have
the white stripe so your's may be a 1960s model that had some modification (don't have a complete 60s Rawlings catalog.) Size might be a factor in the value, adult size being better.

Agreed. They looks 60s to me too.
