Goldsmith Babe Ruth Model Bat- RESTORED

I picked this up thismorning at a local garage sale. It's a Goldsmith block letter Babe Ruth Model bat. It's 33" long. No cracks, but a small chip near the barrel end. Label section reads " Goldsmith, Made in U.S.A., Preferred Product, NO. XC., Power Treated". The barrel end reads "Special Professional Babe Ruth Model." The knob is stamped 33". Bat is smooth with no cracks, except the aforementioned chip. There are several white scuff marks around the barrel. At first glance, I thought they were ball marks. But now wondering if it could be white paint. Any tips on cleaning this one up? is it worth cleaning professionally. All advice is appreciated. Thanks.

Its going to be tough to clean because the markings are foil stamped. Not a lot you could do unless you have experience cleaning them up. Im in Brick, NJ if you want me to try to clean it up for you.

Thanks Matt. I was able to remove most of the white marks with very fine steel wool. Some of the black is gone in several areas, but a light impression in the wood is visible. The words Babe Ruth Model are stamped a little deeper than the rest, or so it seems. Would love for you to take a look at it. I could drive it to down to you on a Sunday or Monday (my days off) if you are available. Let me know.
Thanks,

Scott

I brought the bat to Matt at MGH Pro and he did a fantastic job cleaning it up! Take a look at the finished product compared to how it was when I got it. Great work. Would definitely recommend Matt for any bat work you may need done.
