Bill James Essay

Postby robin_buckeye » August 22nd, 2010, 1:46 pm

Guys, I need some help - quite a few years ago, Bill James, of the "Baseball Abstract" wrote a lengthy essay about growing up a Kansas City baseball fan. A friend of mine who grew up in Kansas City has heard of this essay but never read it. I remember reading it, but can't remember where it was published.

I'm almost certain that it was in one of the annual "Abstracts" but I have all of them and can't find it. I seems like it would have been in the mid or late 80's.

Does anyone remember this essay? Can anyone remember its name or when/where it was published?
Thanks,

Found it - in the 1986 Bill James Baseball Abstract it is the Kansas City Royals article.
