If you are defensive about that little factual assistance, I guess it's safe to say you probably aren't going to be thrilled when I suggest that you probably don't need to repeat what they say in a quote if you are immediately following them (or when it is obvious), or that adding an omicron or several to EVERY post is sort of redundant, or that a caption contest should have a caption every now and again. Oh no, I don't hate to admit I'm a competitive sonofagun ... I'm proud of it! On the smallest of things, too, but that had nothing whatsoever to do with the moral obligation I had regarding previous historical period correctness (I'm just saying). This old rusty guy taking you deep to all fields in BP on the otherhand WAS.

And yes, HARDHEADED player is now an instant classic.

After retirement from the game Rusty never could quite get on with his life.

During the big game, Rusty appeared stiff and robotic in his movements!

The HEAVY-HANDED Rusty was always error-prone.

Rusty's love for the game remained galvanized though he was often taken for granite.

It's the later innings fellas ... let's see a strong finish!

Because he was quite the prankster and usually came through in the clutch, it was generally believed -- and later confirmed in the "moon over Miami" incident -- that he had brass balls. That probably had something to do with needing to plant him at first.
