We had the chance to see the Baseball Project at the Storm King Art Center near Cornwall, NY this weekend. First off, the Storm King is worth visiting all by itself - beautiful outdoor museum with tons of large art creations - was very impressed and would like to go again. The afternoon/all ages show allowed us to bring our kids to their first concert. Both of them are huge Baseball Project fans and sing along to the songs in the car wherever we drive (good way to keep them from fighting!). Before the show started we had a nice opportunity to visit with all of the band members - they were super friendly and quite accomodating to the kids. I brought 2 vintage split fingers as gifts for the band they absolutely loved them. Soon after we left to find a spot to enjoy the show, Steve Wynn and Mike Mills, found a spot behind the stage to play some catch. I couldn't resist taking a picture, since it was especially cool to see a guy from my favorite band of all time playing catch with a vintage glove. The show was great and the band even mentioned both boys names after they played their favorite song for them. Really fun day and great band - definitely check them out if they are in your area. They mentioned they liked do these all ages shows the best as their fan base seems to be families - they hope to do more in the future. Thanks to William for the Huntington Base Ball Co. balls the kids got autographed - fun keepsake for the day.

That's so cool! Looks like you and the boys had a great day! I saw Mike Mills shoes on twitter. Good luck finding those in kids sizes

I like the games. There was this one on ebay not long ago from 1898. I don't know if you saw it.

yes, I saw it and while it is pretty cool, I am not a board game fan. Pinball is a whole other passion

I always liked the pinball machines. Not sure I'd have room for one in my glove room but it would be tempting if I came across a working one at a good price.

Anyway, she asked what I wanted for supper??? No Brainer, hickory smoked hot dogs, french fries, and a spring training game hopefully on tv, if not then a chapter of Ken Burns baseball video....Now if I can talk her into wearing stirrup socks later.....

only part but it is better than nothing. It still amazes me what people would cut up to back up a picture in a frame

Those Mr. Rogers shirts are pretty cool. I've been enjoying all the different Star Wars themes the minor league teams have been doing this season. We took the kids to the Star Wars night at our local Double A team and they got selected to do the giant clothes relay during the game. Wish they got to keep the jerseys!

The Jayhawks released a great new album called "Paging Mr. Proust." Baseball is mentioned in one of the songs and two of the members of the Baseball Project contribute. Have a listen thru the link below and then go buy it!
