spalding bat, ball, and glove

Postby okdoak » June 11th, 2009, 6:17 pm

Hoping that one of our bat collectors could give me some info on this Spalding bat, esp. about when it was made. It is a real club! Just under 32" long with a very thick handle and is really heavy. I can make out "Gold Medal" on what is left of one of the decals. Wannabe photographer that I am, I had to group the ball and well worn glove with it.

Great bat. It was made early 1900's.

Cool bat and glove but that ball in box is simply stunning. What a great pickup that was. Wow!

Thanks JD! Yeah the ball w/box was a really lucky ebay BIN from a couple of years ago. The bat came from an antique mall (back when I actually used to find stuff). Ah, the good old days.
