I was only 4 when this happened so I don't remember it, but nor do I ever remember reading or hearing about it. So just in case there are some other people who do not know the story here is the video link, a little late for memorial day....but here it is

I remember that so well. 1976 to 1978 were my favorite Dodger teams of all time. I had that Rick Monday Poster adorning my room when I was a kid. I was seven. I looked at it every day. It was the shot of him swiping the flag and running his first few steps. I'll never forget it. I still have it although it's pretty moth-eaten. Thanks for sharing. It was a truly special event back then, especially on a young and impressionable kid.
