Picked up this mask....any thoughts??

Anyone ever see a mask like this before...or know exactly what it is?? Seems well constructed, it's big and heavy, not low end...seems like it's gotta be baseball...rare variation or maybe umpires mask?? Any info would be great...ask a few fellow collectors but no luck figuring out exactly what it is or who it was made by??
