Help, I have "saved" bats for sometime but have no expert knowledge on them. I picked this bat up because I liked the Pontiac logo but after checking it out closer I see that it is stamped "Wagner" on the knob. Can anyone tell me what is up? I'd prefer one of you experts say it is a Honus Wagner gamer but would accept any bits of information(The bat is 34 inches long).

just someone who put his name on the bat. In 40 years of collecting I have never seen a Pontiac endorsed bat

Here;s a Lajoie one as well:
http://www.legendaryauctions.com/LotDet ... otid=52122I have a Horace Partridge that is stamped Cobb on the knob. Guessing these companies did so to avoid having to pay the players for their names or maybe to avoid conflict with H&B
