The World War II era and glove manufacturing would probably be a book unto itself. We covered this in the Nocona history thanks to Bobby Storey's recollections. I do recall Dubow converting its leather operations to bomber jacket production during the war and may have written about it in the newsletter. We all know that Rawlings, Wilson, Goldsmith, Spalding (it seems to a lesser extent) made baseball gloves for the military exclusively. Hillerich & Bradsby was making rifle stocks, as probably were Adirondack and Hanna. Other glove makers were, like Ken-Wel cranking out leather goods items for the war effort.
