A Nokona Carl Erskine G12 glove with box sold for $311. Not many black modern era gloves out there. This one looks dry as a bone. I bet it would clean up nice.

A MacGregor Willie Mays model GC12 glove sold for $650. Perfection!

A Rawlings Herb Score XPG3 glove with box sold for $400. The Herb Score HSP was an upgrade to the model HH and the XPG3 was an upgrade to the HSP. This is a rare one for two reasons; first, the Herb score XPG3 model was only made for a couple years circa 1960 and second, The desirable lazy S pocket lacing on this glove quickly gave way to a multitude of common Flexomatic palm models. This glove does need a good cleaning/conditioning.

December has really been a bonanza for the post war glove collector. Some rarities and some awesome boxed gloves from one seller in particular. Not too much happening on the pre war gloves but ebay seems to turn around in a heart beat. I'm a little surprised the auction houses haven't had many vintage gloves up for auction. I've found some cool vintage photos but that's about it.

If you want to see the collection a lot of those post war beauties come from, search jonenglishsportsantiques on Instagram - there are some videos that show the collection

A real deal webless glove sold for $2600. Not sure of the brand but a nice looking survivor. Rare to see on ebay. Pretty cool!

A Sewn web Spalding glove sold for $78. Looks like the short fingered model SS. The white leather is in good shape

A sewn web Simmons American glove sold for $350. Still haven't figured which manufacturer used that wrist strap design. J.C. Higgins models used the same style.

A Des Moines Mfg. glove sold for $270. It is built with outseams and features strap webs between a couple of fingers. The glove looks well constructed and in overall great shape. Des Moines Mfg. manufactured industrial gloves as a core business and ventured into sporting good for a time.

A mint Hutch DiMaggio glove with box sold for $180. Hutch made a few really nice high quality gloves, this was one. The model 53 is a big glove with cross lace fingers, pocket lacing and a wrist lock strap.

A rare and mint Rawlings XPG3 glove sold for $450. It was listed as pro issue. I didn't know what to make of it, especially with the double X web. It was also missing some stampings one would normally see. Then I remembered a photo Greg posted a while back.

A Spalding sewn web glove sold for $225. I wish the factory stamps were more visible in the pocket. Other than that, just a stellar glove. Looks to be an olive leather color.
