A teens-20's Spalding base mitt sold for $203. It looks like the white leather AXP "World Series Model" with the perimeter lacing. The buckle web looks intact as is the buckle back.

A J.C. Higgins "Hans Wagner" glove sold for $1400 or thereabouts. A real nice looking glove!

A group of baseball equipment sold for $255. I had my eyes on the WIlson base mitt. Jared probably did too! Pretty nice with the early tag and patented Sell wrist strap.

Well I guess you caught me Mike. You could sniff me out anywhere. You are the eye in the sky in the glove hobby. Problem is, you don't see hardly any old Wilson gloves anymore. Bad for me. Hopefully she'll clean up and produce some stampings.

All from ebay: Another sewn web Hans Wagner glove sold for $416. Real crappy photos but it looks to have a tag on the wrist strap. Well used condition.

A Stall & Dean "Tris Speaker" model glove sold for $799. Tunnel loop web. The glove shows wear but the endorsement is still pretty nice.

A Spalding model DE "Favorite" base mitt sold for $115. It's a buckle web model in really good shape.

A J.C. Higgins "Grover Alexander" glove and box sold for $406 final value at a small auction in PA. Gotta hate the 25% buyers premium. The glove seems OK. The box is in pieces. Of course there's always the money back guarantee-not!

One of the nicest gloves of the year. Would be in contention for glove of the year except for all those mint D&M G41 models earlier. This G73 model is also mint and the smoked horsehide leather really is special. Just a spectacular glove in every way. It sold for $1625 on ebay.

Do you think that's the original colour on the button? I scrubbed too hard on mine and ended up with this.
D&M full-web button.jpg

So maybe the original owner did the same but with much better results than me  Dope glove nonetheless, especially the eye appealing contrast with the lining.

The D&M logo buttons I have seen never seem to tarnish. Maybe they're aluminum. Could also be nickel plated brass.
One thing with cleaning buttons. I use This NAPA brand pumice hand cleaner in an orange bottle and a Q-tip. Seems to work OK.

That olive D&M was fantastic. I was surprised it didn't go for more.

A 1920's Winchester "Baseball Special" glove sold for $500. Nicely done restoration. Turned out to be a real beauty!

It slipped between the cracks when it was first sold on ebay. The original seller didn't know how to use a camera or lighting.
Looked like a brown blob.

A lot of base mitts this month. A 1920's Rawlings "Koney Mitt" sold for $127. A rare mitt, thought it would do better. Nice factory markings and patch but overall condition not optimal.

A white leather Wilson sewn web glove sold for $280. The condition leaves a lot to be desired. Surface checking from poor storage conditions, compromised tag, overall wear and tear. The only way this makes sense is a "Babe Ruth" endorsement still visible on the face. Maybe you'll get lucky!
