A 1940's Rawlings "Bill Doak" model H glove sold for $178. It is in great shape.

Another Rawlings "Doak" model, this one from the 1930's sold for $197. Looks to be hardly used. Rare gloves for LH can be had pretty cheap. It is a rare one because of that particular tag on an "Original Doak" design glove. It is also stamped "Special", possibly referring to the short finger "Kenworthy Special" Model. Nice!

Another 1930's Lefty Rawlings glove, this one an original design "George Sisler Mitt" sold for $157. It also looks to be lightly used and a bargain.

A D&M "Babe Ruth" G41 glove was listed for $2450 on ebay and ended early. It had some wear and tear but still in pretty good condition with a nice patch and markings on the face.

A 1968 Rawlings "Mickey Mantle" XPGH glove sold for $431. Used with some ink but overall in nice shape. A retail store version of Mantle's preferred H-web design.

The last of the "Norway Find" D&M G41 gloves sold for $2375. It is a "Ray Chapman" model. It looks unused but subjected to less than optimal storage conditions with light moisture staining front and back. The earlier "Chapman" model was superb and auctioned for slightly less dinero.
Same winner for both gloves, go figure!

A 1930's Rawlings "Bill Doak" glove sold for $208. It is a model J infielders glove. Looks like the tunnel webbing was changed to a trap style lacing. Cloth patches are in good shape.

A 1960's Rawlings XPGP "Dual Step Down Palm" glove sold for $171. A pretty rare HOH model. Someone did a good job relacing the glove and updating the leather piping and cloth patch.

A 1960's Rawlings "Mickey Mantle" XPG6 glove sold for $126. A closed web HOH model. Some piping loss at the wrist may have impacted the price some.

A George Reach "Bruce Campbell" model BOC glove sold for $85. One of my personal favorites. This one is in pretty good shape.

Uber rare Ron Hunt XPG9 in mint condition sold for a reasonable $90. These XPGs are highly underrated.

I agree, that's a great looking glove and very reasonable for such a rare model. There were a lot of primo gloves from that seller. One could start a top notch modern glove collection just from that seller alone!

A sewn web Winchester glove sold for $204. It's in nice shape.

A private label catchers mitt sold for $99. It is stamped with a clover leaf logo and initials AHC, possibly a hardware store brand. It is an early, mid line Goldsmith product and has the patented wrist strap cushion and webbing. I've owned a Goldsmith with that style webbing. It is nearly impossible to relace. It is funny how some of the early inventions were kind of quirky and didn't exactly pan out. It is what makes the early gloves/mitts interesting & collectible. This mitt looks unused but was damaged on the face due to poor storage conditions.

A tale of two Erskine's.
A near mint 1950's Nokona "Carl Erskine" model G37 glove sold for $104. Just super!

Another near mint Nokona "Carl Erskine" glove sold for $85. This one was based on a 1953 G57 model. Not listed as such but was one of Nokona's popular reissues back in 1991.

A Rawlings Brooks Robinson/Roberto Clemente World Series commemorative glove sold for $595. It is an import model with its original box.

A near mint Spalding "Roger Maris" glove sold for $125. It is also an import model. Back in the day, a similar model was the first glove I collected. I think I paid 25 cents at a garage sale. It's a cool glove with the V-anchored "X" web.

A stylish Stall & Dean buckle web "Speediest Model" catchers mitt sold for $184. Good overall condition.

The Stall & Dean had a few dangling eyelets that scared me off. How would one go about putting them back into their holes?
