Do you hear it playing in the background? "It's the final countdown!" I already rescheduled a meeting that I have at 3pm ET so I can watch the battle. Issues? You betcha!

The NOS D&M "Babe Ruth" G41 glove, ball, box & hang tag sold for $11,600. I just knew it would be sniped at the end by a new bidder. It was too nice a glove to waste time jockeying around with preliminary bids. Better use of time establishing a war chest. This may be a new benchmark for a holy grail type glove/mitt.

A sewn web D&M/Rochester Sporting Goods glove sold for $240. The two tags are nice. The glove has seen a lot of use.

A lefty Rawlings "Bill Doak" model 5BD sold for $295. The glove shows very little wear. A nice glove with the "H"-web.

Great fun to watch the D&M Ruth. Not that I swim in that end of the pool, but it seems like a bargain compared to what you'd pay for a high end Ruth baseball card. Imagine it would be a centerpiece of any collection, not just gloves.

I agree with that. I thought it would go for more. The winner played it smart laying in the weeds.

A lot of D&M's lately. This primo "Pat Collins" model catchers mitt was stalled at around $300. That's SOP for ebay though until the last seconds. It was pulled and re-listed as a BIN at $1999. Great mitt with ball, advertising and hang tag.

Another D&M catchers mitt sold for $327. This one has a built in leather finger guard. Cool looking and the mitt is in pretty nice condition.

A MacGregor "Willie Mays" model G25 glove sold for $450. That has got to be a high water mark for that model. The glove is in great shape and has the early black/white/red tag.

Not much shakin' right now. There was a D&M "Babe Ruth" G41 model from Hunts that sold for $600 before the juice. Collectors are pretty spoiled by what D&M's have surface recently for this one to raise many eyebrows.

A 1940-50's MacGregor Goldsmith "Eddie Miller" G112 glove & box sold for $180. The glove looks to be in mint condition. The box was fair.

A1950's Rawlings "Johnny Groth" personal model JG glove sold for $96. Great looking glove with very light use

A 1920's Rawlings "George Sisler" mitt sold for $295. Needs a little cleaning but overall in good condition with a nice patch and strong markings on the face. This was a Rawlings flagship model for decades.

An interesting glove sold for $59 on ebay. Misidentified as a KenWel, it's actually a Stall & Dean model from the 1940's. It needs a good cleaning/conditioning but it's all intact and a cool glove design. Stall & Dean brought out some wacky models in that time period.

Here it is. A "Lefty O'Doul" glove with tunnel loop web sold for $379. Looks to be in great shape. I've never seen that cloth patch before. It may be a private label brand from a sporting goods store located in Louisville. Pretty cool.

A second D&M "Ray Chapman" G41 glove sold for $2323. Another nice one from the Norway find. A few guys laying in the weeds on this one.
