A nice Reach model 12/A catchers mitt sold for $450. It's a "Double Face" Professional model. The markings are visible on the front, nice patch on the back, buckle web and fastback wrist opening. A really modern style for the 1920's era.

A 1950's MacGregor Goldsmith G130 "Major League" model glove & box sold for $300. The glove looks to be in top shape and the box looks near perfect. The three finger model glove was their top glove back in the day.

An early WIlson catchers mitt sold for $49. The cloth patch is either worn or dirty and tough to make out but looks to be the early oval logo style. The markings on the face are good. It may be model 501. The 1914 Wm. Sell patent buckle strap is pretty nice.

I put a bid in on this one within a couple of minutes of posting hoping to keep the seller motivated but he still ended the auction. The nice stuff doesn't hang around long. Maybe he will relist it or it's gone. It's an early one and one of the nicest D&M mitts since the Bresnahan auction.

A sewn web glove with strap webs between the fingers sold for $370. It looks like the Goldsmith "Heinie Groh" model and made for a private label brand.

The relist got up to $315 before the godfather called, ending the auction for good. It was a dramatic turn of events for those of us on the sidelines. The boss wrote all we could do was "...just stand back and let it all be"

A rare circa 1930 Reach "Joe Judge" model base mitt sold for $120. The patented wrist strap is pretty cool. The mitt was well used.

A rare 1920's D&M "John Gooch" catchers mitt sold for $258. Nice finger guard and D&M embellishments.

A Spalding fastback style catchers mitt sold for $120. Nice buckle web. A little bit of a sleeper. I'm pretty sure it is stamped "World Series Model" at the heel and a top mitt back in the day. It is in nice shape.

I think that Berra mitt is a reproduction. If you look on the box it says made by Akadema, very similar to the Babe Ruth repops here a few years ago. Hope the buyer didn't think it was a legit 1950's glove.
