A cool looking Winchester base mitt sold for $235. Markings on the face were legible and the cloth patch was good. I like the back closure, kind of unusual.

A Goldsmith "Walter Johnson" model RF47 glove sold for $120. The RF stood for "Reg'lar Fellers" a popular comic strip started in the late teens. The writer of the strip marketed many items with the "Reg'lar Fellers" branding including microscope sets, harmonicas and sporting goods. The glove features the "Spider Web" and is in good shape.

A 1930-40's Rawlings "Bill Doak" model J glove sold for $125. This may be the short finger model. It shows wear but still nicely intact with super pocket stampings and two pristine cloth patches. The glove has the nice tapered wrist strap.

A 1963 Spalding "Jim Bunning" model 42-101 "TraPocket" with the "Dual Step Down Palm" sold for $15. The glove really shows a lot of wear but it's got the super rarity factor going for it. Didn't last long at auction. It was one expensive glove back in '63.

Some from Hunts Auction. My favorite was the Nokona Roy Face model CC1 & picture box. It sold for $264 which doesn't include the 15% buyers premium.

A Rawlings Bill Doak glove with box sold for $254. The glove is an "Original" model, the box is a later H model. The glove does have the extra Brine tag along with the Doak and Rawlings tags.

Although not specified in the listing, I thought the Nokona CC1 was the reissue.

Looking through old issues of "The Glove Collector Newsletter" I found the Nokona "Elroy Face" model F100 as a reissue but not the "Elroy Face" endorsed CC1.

An old glove with a purported Ty Cobb signature sold for $1576. It was authenticated by Drew Max of Pawn Stars fame.

A Winchester catchers mitt sold for $429. Seems in decent condition with a pretty nice cloth patch. Just can't lose with Winchester equipment.

A very spiffy early catchers mitt sold for $393 on ebay. No mfg. apparent but looks to be well made and in near mint condition. The stamped ovals may have contained patent licensing info.

That was a great looking mitt - one of the best gloves to come up on eBay in a long while. I love the construction and leather color - congrats to the winner. I think they got a great deal on it.

A 1920's Rawlings "Hack Wilson" model XL glove sold for $275. The glove shows wear but it's a tough model to find. The Latina designed grommet style web and tunnel loop at the crotch is unique. Patented in 1924, Rawlings featured it on a few different models.

A really beautiful 1920's D&M "Bob Meusel" model G97 glove sold for $1201. It looks to have shelf/storage wear but never caught a ball. This model was one of D&M's best gloves and endorsed by different star players of the day.

That Meusel was a great looking glove. Glad to see a few stellar items popping up this month.

After a long drought, two Goldsmith "Christy Mathewson" gloves sold within a week of one another on ebay. The first, a JG8 model looks close to near mint with a little piping wear. It sold for $1500.

The second, an RF46 model sold for a best offer. The prominent ink on the back didn't help this one. Otherwise the glove was in good condition.
