A 1950's Wilson "Phil Cavaretta" model A2000 glove/box sold for $301. I was hoping to bid on this one but it started pretty high and went higher. A boxed glove of this rare model in near mint condition is going to be appreciated and sought after.

A 1920's Horace Partridge model 14K sewn web glove sold for $315. It's a pearl leather model in nice shape. Great cloth patch on the back and some markings still visible on the front. It was a mid line model back in the day at $6 as opposed to their $10 top glove. The glove seems very well made. Heel lacing, full leather lining and piping, welted seems, folded web.

A 1922 Ken Wel Model 562 "Kenoko Elk" glove sold for $436. The glove looks like a factory second with the double stamp flaw in the pocket. possibly why no manufacturers patch on the wrist strap. regardless, the glove itself is in stellar condition.

That Ken-Wel is a sharp looking glove. I agree with you about the patch. Boy, August is sure shaping up to be a great month for gloves! 8)

A lot of eyes were on this auction. A mid 1930's D&M "Les Munns" model G17 glove sold for $1691. Les Munns designed it as a pitchers model in conjunction with D&M. It had a short manufacturing run and is very rare. The condition is strong with the only flaw being initials on the back. The ebay seller couldn't make out the endorsement but it is plain as day to a collector. A great find not soon repeated.

It's only the second one I cataloged in over 20 years of collecting. I was VERY fortunate to get it so cheap! I spoke to the seller this morning on the phone to change my shipping address and he said it was a "new to the hobby" glove (great guy by the way). Now that I know there are two, I would love to see a third!

A circa 1915 Spalding sewn web "Leaguer" glove sold for $330. It's a buckskin model and shows darkening in the palm but otherwise it's in fine shape. The markings in the pocket are all clear and bold. The cloth patch is great.

Two nice pre-war HOF gloves this week. First, a Peerless "Lou Gehrig" model that sold for $1360. It's a mid line model but in great condition with strong markings in the pocket.

An interesting glove and not well described on ebay. It's a Rawlings Original Bill Doak model. The pocket stamping are not well photographed in the listing. It has a Fairplay brand cloth patch on the wrist strap. The "Bill Doak" tag unfortunately is gone with only stitching and a cloth remnant remaining. It would have been a valuable glove if intact. As it was it went for $62.
