Say it isn't so!

This seller didn't mention that his "Lou Gehrig Mitt with the Original Box" was one of the Akadema reproductions from a few years ago. Apparently, the buyer didn't know that, either!

A rare Spalding "Jimmie Dykes" three finger glove sold for $560. A nice looking glove and in overall good condition. Similar to the Lloyd Waner glove but may be more of a mid line model with the cloth piping. Dykes was associated with the A.J. Reach brand and this model was not identified in any Spalding catalog I could find. One of these surfaced a half dozen years ago and was reviewed on the forum.

A 1940's J.C.Higgins "Bob Feller" model sold for $204. Really stylish buckle back model in mint condition. This one was bidded up early with no room at the end.

I was the winner of the Feller buckle back!
I've never seen such a great example for sale. All I ever see are torn up beaters, and the irony was that I was going to bid on one that was a little rough, then I scrolled down and saw this one. So I had to make sure I didn't miss out on this one.
I've amassed a bit of a Feller glove collection that I will post as soon as this one arrives. So very excited that this example was as minty as it was!
Now for the elusive Wilson Personal model...and I doubt I will ever find one of those :P

Good buy on the mint Higgins Feller model. It's the best one I have seen. I have a 1940's Wilson Bob Feller model 900 Personal Model glove with triple tunnel web. E-mail me at mtinney@sbcglobal.net if you are interested in purchasing or trade if you want.

Ohhhh John. I had a helluva time laying off that one. I have owned about 30 Fellers over the years and it took me years to upgrade to the two I have left. I vowed I would never buy another Feller after these and I stayed true to my word, albeit very difficult. Super nice pickup.

Jim, that's a great Feller right there! I believe I bought one of my Feller's off you a couple of years back, one of the Higgins I have.

Mike, email on it's way!
