A sewn web Rawlings glove sold for $30. The markings on the heel are light but readable, the cloth patch is super and the glove overall is in decent shape.

I was the underbidder on this one. It's a Wilson Del Bissonette Model. I almost never bid on gloves anymore, but I thought this one was pretty unusual and in great shape. All it served to do was to remind me of days in the past, getting sniped at exactly the last second. I hope the winner likes as much as i thought I was going to.

A couple of newer models. First is a 1960's NOS Rawlings "Mickey Mantle" MM5 glove with bag and hang tag. It sold for $700.
Second is a 1960's MacGregor "Willie Mays" model GC12 glove. It sold for $202. Looks to be in great condition.

A 1940's Goldsmith model XG glove sold for $187. It's another NOS and stamped "imperfect" as a factory second. Still, it seems like a solid glove and was top of the line in its day. The markings are really super. The glove came with a box. Not sure if the box is generic or has any Goldsmith labeling.

That Goldsmith Netro tan glove was pretty cool - thought it went for a good price.

Doh! I'm on a self-imposed no glove purchase moratorium for just a little bit longer or I would've vultured that one right up. Got my sights set on something.

I'm sorry Mike. But a Bissonette mitt doesn't come up too often. I saw that one listed and I had to pounce on it like a kitty cat on cat nip. I have a very tender spot in my heart for a good Wilson glove. Thank you for not being mad at me. The glove world is the best one to be in.

A rare Reach catchers mitt sold for a best offer in the neighborhood of $500. It features a full crescent pad, decker patent finger guard and a buckle web.

A 1950's Rawlings "Mickey Mantle" model MM sold for $219. It's an early "Custom Built" model still surprisingly intact despite noticeable wear. The factory markings, cloth patch, lacing, etc. still seem in good shape.

Another NOS glove with box and brochure. This one is a late 1950's-60's Hutch "Richie Ashburn" glove with original box. Interesting redesigned Hutch logo on the wrist strap. Glove and box are in great shape. It's got to be one of the last USA made models before Hutch went to imports. The whole package sold for $400.

This late 1950's Rawlings "Mickey Mantle" MMP "Heart of Hide" glove went pretty quickly for a $150 BIN. It seems in really good shape. You can tell the later MM models by the flattening of the finger stalls, not so round and puffy like the early 50's gloves. The markings are all clear on the front with the early Mantle signature endorsement and no darkening in the pocket. The back has minor wear, no sweat damage to the liner or piping. The tag is good and overall the glove is a good find.

there has been a dearth of nice older vintage gloves/mitts on ebay lately but here is one to finish out the month. It's a circa 1915 Stall & Dean model 0392 in stellar condition and a lot of eye appeal. It sold for a strong price of $273.

Definitely agree with your statement about the lack of high quality pieces lately. That mitt definitely had nice eye appeal.

I was telling someone just the other day how it seems like most of the good quality gloves have all but dried up. Haven't seen a drought like this in a while. All it takes is a couple of days and bang, we'll be watching ten gloves on eBay.
