A 1930's KenWel "Dazzy Vance" model 533 "Super Special" glove sold for $160. There are a couple of different versions of the "Super Special" model. With the solid web, it was touted as a pitchers model.

1930's Simmons Hardware brand glove sold for $190. The glove is in great shape with the inner liner still close to its original white leather color and the factory stamps on the front still clearly visible. The laced wrist strap is a unique design.

The 1940's Rawlings glove discussed on the forum sold for $177. Overall in pretty decent shape despite a worn cloth patch and some wear to the liner. The tied pinky was cool. The player endorsement is a mystery, someone with the initials S__L__. Rawling's used local St. Louis Cardinals players for some of the endorsements like Stu Martin and lesser known players from other teams such as Dib Williams and Bill Brubaker. May be that was a marketing strategy? Anyway, the glove has a great look to it with the long pocket and stubby fingers and brought a strong price.

An early crescent pad Victor Sporting Goods glove sold for $600 on ebay. The Victor gloves are hard to find. This one is in good shape, especially the front with the nice full crescent pad. The back has some wear to the wool liner. The glove is identified by the Victor wrist strap button.

The Rawlings is a Sam Levinson. Just saw a close-up of the signature. Sorry Double D. It was not the elusive PM unicorn.

I found a D&M Levinson - many years back. It was hard trying to nail down info on him - I think I finally concluded he had something to do with Hollywood. Strange that both models were high end

A 1930-40's "Paul Dean" glove sold for $547. Made by KenWel for a retailer I couldn't quite make out on the cloth patch. The glove seems in good shape.

Yeah, same thing happened with the Paul Dean glove.
Another crescent pad glove sold in the $700+ range. The cloth patch was not readable. The front has an interesting primitive look to it with the thumb seam not diverted.

A 1950's Rawlings model PMM glove, picture box and brochures sold for $525. The money was in the picture box. It's complete and in nice shape with all panels intact and vibrant graphics. The sides of the box are warped somewhat but could possibly be lightly steamed with a towel and iron to straighten them up.

A 1940's Rawlings "Bill Doak" Improved model H glove with box sold for $420. One of the nicest model H "Doaks" out there. Could have been had on the forum site for months at $350.

A mid 1960's Rawlings model XPGP glove sold for $293. A glove that appeals to both the vintage and modern glove collector. The "Dual Step-Down Palm" design was one of Rawling's quirky experiments and the glove being a top of the line model just adds to the excitement when one pops up on ebay. The glove is in fantastic shape and brought out a lot of bids.
