A nice looking vintage Spalding full web, crescent pad glove sold for about $800 on an ebay BO. Just a vintage sewing repair to the front finger stalls kept this under a thousand. Really stylish front and back, good patch and wool interior.

A 1960's Spalding "Roger Maris" personal model 42-201 glove sold for $250. A top model used by MLB players. This one shows some wear but a rare "Duo-Control Palm" version.

A mid 1930's KenWel "Edd Roush" model 542S glove sold for $263 on ebay. A fair amount of corrosion on the metal grommets and broken lacing but the leather seems in great shape. The photos don't feature the pocket but the factory stamps seem to be complete. By this time, KenWel adopted the Spalding/Reach diverted finger seam approach on some of their better models. With a little care, I think the glove could clean up nicely.

A rare double patch "George Sisler" Rawlings/James Brine base mitt with original Rawlings box and Brine hang tag sold for $272. The factory stamps on the mitt were mostly worn away which kept the price down. The mitt still was in exceptional condition with both patches pristine as was the Rawling's box and Brine hang tag.

Hey guys, need a little help...indirectly per se... Hope the bidding on the Dizzy Dean goes way higher, as it will justify what a PM Pepper Martin will merit if one ever appears. And as I try and convince Pretty Sharon why a glove is worthy of such a price. She will realize what a bargain I have in the one a couple of glovers help me snag back in the spring, and the money saved on my Dean should be now directed toward a Pepper Martin purchase...Yep, working the spousal angle of glovin... Any other hints...Drokester

Here's that Reach "Dizzy Dean" glove. It sold for $761. That's a really strong price. The endorsement is big and bold on the front. I still think of the "Rainey Trap" version that sold for $400 a while ago. Man, I wish I was paying more attention at the time.

A 1930 Goldsmith "Eppa Rixey" model G20 glove sold for $84 on ebay. Minimal description in the ebay listing although the factory stamps are pretty clear and the glove overall is in good shape. The model is from the low end of the Goldsmith catalog with shoelace and a palm liner but Rixey is considered one of the tough pre-war HOF endorsements.

Where did the Sisler glove sell? Been looking for one and think I might be looking in the wrong place. Thanks for the help.

That is sad. I am on eBay 3 times a day and have alerts set up. Never really check the store only the site. Will check it out-thank you!

A 1960's Rawlings "Tim McCarver" model HOH catchers mitt sold for $25. Nice "Big Wheel" web. Needless to say, a great mitt but not well described in the listing

Don't tell him..it's supposed to be a secret!

Thanks for posting these, Ive never seen that Reach DD before..glad to see glove beginning to attain prices they deserve. I hope they continue to rise as I find them to be a far more charming and solid historical representation of baseball within the memorabilia arena than cards, etc..they don't seem to get the respect they deserve. But I am new to this and may be wrong.

The Stall ad Dean catcher is very nice..
