A classic D&M three finger model glove sold for $512. Looks to be in good shape

I thought this would go pretty high and it did. It's a very nice Wilson model 565 "Professional League" base mitt which sold for $331. Logo and other markings still clear on the front and a super cloth patch. Nice strap web and patented wrist strap. May be a two tone model with black front and back and brown leather thumb. The mitt has a couple of minor issues with broken lace and green junk on the brass grommets but that is relatively easy to fix. The black leather with white trim could clean up to be a stunner.

Pretty nice find at $51 and good timing since it was up for only 10 min. or so. A 1905-10 Victor glove with full web. It has seen a fair amount of use but nothing looks damaged. Described as a youth model but definitely adult size.

The three finger Winchester glove sold for $1080. A rare model from that manufacturer.

I was curious if that Winchester three finger glove would sell. The Winchester brand still commands a premium - guessing a Winchester collector purchased it rather than a glove collector.

Too rich for my blood. I wouldn't have loved the glove but would have just checked off a box on the list so I had to refrain. I can't have them all and I'm at total peace with that.

Rare 1940-50's Nokona "Bobby Bragan" "Bulldog Professional" model catchers mitt sold for $199. Great looking and near mint condition. Bragan played for the Brooklyn Dodgers and later managed the Texas League Fort Worth Cats in the late 1940's. Nokona manufactured a fair amount of gloves endorsed by Cats players.

A super rare Wright & Ditson model ML5 "King Patent" glove sold for $512. This one had enough good things going for it despite the wear and tear. Love the tennis player logo in the pocket, super cloth patch and the nicely intact inner liner. It may also be an early full web model. there is a reference to the model ML5 laced liner in the 1914 W&D catalog.

That is a great looking glove glove that brought a strong price. Delicious appetizer for the glove watching community but I'm sure everyone's hungry for the main course Wednesday!

Kinda hard to bid after wife broke my bidding fingers!!! They don't call em PURSE STRINGS for no apparent reasons  But she is a saint, has to be to put up with me... Oh, by the way, having a bat made... Oh yeah, thinking of a catchy trademark for a Drokester creation, mulling over instead of a wagon tongue maybe a "Cant Hook Model" (for city people a cant hook is used to roll logs) Mind is spinning. The bat is made from a 2.5x2.5 inch square blank from a walnut tree felled on the farm. Lajoie double knob, and ball balanced... looking for a soup bone to bone it, there is a lost art. Have fun on wednesday guys, and Merry Christmas to all!!

P.S. yep, farm equipment illuminated in front yard

Who would have thought an 1880's tipped finger glove would show up on ebay. I guess after a fingerless glove was auctioned off a month ago, anything's possible. This glove looks to have a snap button closure and is in fabulous condition. It sold for $7751.

Looks like a spot on match with this Spalding catcher's glove from their 1888 catalog.

Great glove and a fun one to watch. Sort of shocked it didn't surpass 10K but I'm happy for the new owner.
