Spalding did make military model gloves, as did Dubow. Don't see them as often as Wilson, Hutch, or Rawlings. The military model that perplexes me is Yale. Why waste valuable leather?

A Reach full sewn web glove sold for a $99 BIN on ebay. Only lasted 5 minutes and picked up by a memorabilia dealer so will probably be back. Glove is in good shape, nice patch and logo button. This is a nice early one, pre 1906. No diverted finger seams and no Reg Pat.Off. on the tag. At 3:00 pm yesterday, I was out playing tennis and not trolling the internet. Oh Well.

A stellar crescent full web glove sold for a BIN of $550 on ebay. Wool lining, leather piping and low slung web. Pretty cool looking. Printed with "Buchanan" on the back finger. There was another "Buchanan" glove of the same era on JD's site. Same printing style, may be the same original owner or family of ball players.

Two rare Rocky Colavito gloves: first is a Spalding 42-233 "Cross Web" model that sold for a BO under $140.

second is a super rare and mint 42-204X model that sold for $250. Sandy Koufax used a "Colavito" model 204 in the mid 60's. His featured a solid web. This model has an H-web, may be why the "X" designation as in "experimental" model. In any event, just a great looking glove.

I hope The Glovester got this one. Rawlings 400-V Pepper Martin glove sold tonight for a BIN of $125. I was going to pop for the $125 myself, but when I clicked on it, it came up as sold. I missed it by a few hours.

%^$#@@#$#^*(*() Yankees... Out defending my wife's virtues from invading Yankees in Knoxville TN all weekend....SO..(&@#@**) I missed it. Ah well,If meant to be it will be, if not, there will be another.

But I didn't miss the buiscuit and gravy breakfasts, and Pot roast and Cornbread supper she fixed over the campfire!! That there is a rare woman, (Brothel owner to boot!!!) So If all goes to Hell or New York City in the next couple of weeks, I really don't know if we will notice here in the hollers of East Tennessee....Question..cornbread still a vegetable??

Thanks for remembering me! All in All, I have had one Hell of a year up grading the collection, and reinvigorated in glovin again, guess absence makes the heart grow fonder. Sold some odds and ends of my collection early in the year through Hunts auction, and kinda cleaned up the baseball collection, bought the new additions, and my collection is self supporting. Totally cool way of doing it... Still have wants, guess we always will :D . Will post a picture of this years winners/keepers when all said and done, If I can get my USS Burnside computer running :x

Gotta go..got a phone call, asking if the signs are right to dig potatoes.. Laugh if you want, But.. Always acknowledge Him and he will direct your path!!!

Double Dee. I thought you were looking for the elusive PM, not the more common 400V.

Hey JD, Dodgers got em one last night, Guess I'm pulling for them, have pulled against the Cards all year as a Reds Man, Here is a Damn sad thought, at max (I think) there can only be 16 MLB games left in the year

Yeah, you right on a PM model, but the 400v would be a starting point, as I don't think a PM martin exists!!!!!! Kinda like Bigfoot, only in pictures :P !?!

I reckon it to jumping at a lesser model instead of WAITING for the REAL DEAL!! Patience is a virtue...Just hurry up

That was the picture I was relating to!!! Dang it, just not a Lefty Lucy model....

You guys ought to hear my West Virginia, Greenbriar Forrest story..(Great people, once I got where I was going) One wrong turn, and after outrunning banjo music, I SAW Bigfoot!! Helpful hint, when using a driving aid thing, type in the COMPLETE destination, Greenbriar State Forrest, and Greenbriar State Forrest Park are two entirely differnt things...Glad no one stopped us atop Big Kate Mtn. and said I had a purty mouth

No problem, you need three more yankee collectors to have an even chance (4 to 1) against this Johnny reb for a PM Martin  oops Jon counts as 2
