A circa 1948 OK "Flash Gordon" model sold for $338. Cool glove, love the 3-piece web and 2-button wrist strap

A "King Patent" Spalding glove sold for $433 on ebay. This is a nice one. Good markings on the front and a great looking back, with vintage lacing and an intact cloth patch. This was originally a white glove and would be a tough cleaning job. May be best to leave as is.

Was super excited to see this pop up on eBay - can't wait to have it in hand. Will be happy to share better pictures.

The Ratsch glove was neat - if the winner is a member here I'd be curious to know if it has a celluloid wrist strap button.

That Ratsch glove looks great! I came up short on the bidding, looks like there may be 2 patches on the wrist strap?

Here are some better pics of the OK MFG Flash Gordon - the model number is 3FBR. It is a monstrous size glove that dwarfs my hand. LOVE IT!

I'd want to loosen that web way up and make almost like a a big rolled lace web (in size and depth). Great looking glove. Looks almost "experimental". Glad it got produced.

A circa 1910 Spalding fielders mitt sold for $102 on ebay. A rough interior lining but the exterior is mostly intact and has a real vintage look. The full web with the button back are nice period touches. The splayed back panel seams are pretty cool looking.

Reiser JCL. Brings a smile to my face. Here's a pretty nice example of one of the first gloves I ever acquired (as a collector). At this point I must have eight or ten of 'em. I still cannot resist bidding when one comes up. My bid was $57. It went for $58. Good to know I have some pricing controls in place! Still, I wish I'd won it.

Is there a "halloween" face in that Spalding fielders mitt? Looks like something Tim Burton would come up with.

An unidentified mid 1930's KenWel glove sold for $88. It was a pretty nice "Dazzy Vance" model with dirty patches and light markings in the pocket.

A unique 1940's Stall & Dean "Ted Williams" model glove sold for $91. Intricate back panel with what some call the "tree" web. Looks to be in good shape.

A 1920's Spalding grommet web glove sold for $97 on ebay. One of Spaldings best gloves back in the day. The six grommet web models don't come up very often. Glove was poorly photographed with a flash and the pocket markings and cloth patch may be a lot better than the pictures indicate. Could be a good buy for the winner.

This Ken-Wel sewn web with an early patch ended at $77 and under the reserve. I watched with interest, because something didn't seem right about it. Ending at such a low price confirms my feeling. I'm sure the guys with more trained eyes can tell me what gives here.

I just think people are turned off when they see a reserve.
