A white leather baseman/fielders mitt sold for $300 on ebay. No manufacturers markings present but stylish looking and in good shape. The wide wrist opening and buckle strap is especially eye catching against the white leather.

A 1920-30's Winchester catchers mitt sold for $300 on ebay. The mitt has seen light use and has great markings and cloth patch. Winchester items seem to always do well on ebay.

Some interesting glove stuff via Hunt's All-Star game auction today. The prices don't reflect the 15% buyers premium.

1) TG12 that appears to be never used as well as a Rawlings HOH mint mitt. Lot ended at $1210 - I'm guessing the hats didn't add much value.

2) Reach 1B mitt advertising sign did not sell but still looks cool

3) Lot of Eddie Stanky gloves and paperwork - good thing Hunts doesn't do a good job showing everything in the lot. Can't wait to get my 5 Sonnett documents! :)

Six from the same seller. All great near mint gloves or close to it and with their original boxes. Seller ended the ebay auctions early but still worthy of taking a look.

An early and stylish looking D&M "Imperator" model white leather base mitt sold for $250 on ebay. Good markings on the face showing the "lucky dog" logo and an intact cloth patch with the classic D&M back panel design.

That D&M Imperator Model Basemitt is a really great piece and one that we had in our collection for a LONG time before parting with it about a year or so ago...the new owner should be VERY pleased with their new acquisition. The backstory on how we originally came up with the mitt (along with a great image) is chronicled in Chapter 2 of our book ( http://www.dugouttreasures.com/book.cfm ), but you'll have to purchase it to read all about it

The only reason that we ever parted with it in the first place was because we were fortunate enough to upgrade a bit...pictured below is the Imperator Model mitt that resides in our collection today.

For those interested in purchasing one of our new books, please feel free to reach us through our website. For those of you attending the National next month, copies will be available at Brett's booth (thank you, Brett).

That is more than upgrading a bit. Hard to find a quality glove/mitt from the teens era or earlier in unused condition. Your new "Imperator" was a good find.

Pictures do not do that glove justice. Seeing it inperson is a whole different story.

As great of a glove it is, I find it Funny that the glove has pass through 4 collectors hands in the last 18 months

Was the unused D&M "Imperator" one of the mitts from the Ray Wood/Bob McCann mega purchase at the National of 10 years ago?

A 1920's D&M "Babe Ruth" model G41 sold for $1925 on ebay. The endorsement looks legible but the glove shows signs of wear.

A pretty cool looking 1940's George Reach brand softball mitt sold for $427 on ebay. The mitt is unused and sports a really prominent crescent pad. Markings are pristine as is the cloth patch.

Assuming you are referring to the lesser condition one, I was two of those four collectors. I was the winner of it when it was listed on ebay last year, was guilted out of it by a friend/prominent D&M collector, and then pounced back on it when he re listed it to pay off another deal. This Imperator model really is a beast! But, yes, I think I'd rather have the mint one.

A circa 1960 unused Nokona "The Bulldog" model CM75 catchers mitt and box sold for $261 on ebay. The mitt was top of the line in its day, has the outside finger lops and includes a nice hang tag.

I was talking about the Mint one. Since the National in Baltimore in 2010 I think that Jon is the 3rd member here to have his hand on it? Might be wrong but that is what I remember.

Brett, didn't you have it for about 24 hours?

No, never had it. It came out of Memory Lane auction and then had a view of the Manhattan skyline for a short time I believe.
