Definitely a glove made by OK MFG Co. - I have a few that are the same but with different endorsements

I see that there's an Old Reliable Joe D. on ebay that looks the same as that Brine except it has a wrist strap and button instead of the laced back. The only gloves I remember seeing with that type of web were the Marathon Carl Hubbells. Then again, maybe I just wasn't paying attention. :)

I have an OK Frank Crosetti with the exact same web.

Brett posted this same Goldsmith "Honus Wagner" glove selling for $948 in a Skinner auction in Oct. 2011. Not a bad return for sitting on it for three months. The back of the glove was extraordinary. Never have seen the color scheme of the cloth patch before. In addition, the pocket stitching, nice button and overall light wear on both sides really made the glove stand out. The endorsement and other markings on the front were strong.
Also, the "Bill Cissell" Marathon glove above was made by Dubow. The look and quality of the leather Dubow used in that period was distinctive. Bill Cissell was also among a group of players Dubow signed up in the 1920's. Nice grommet web.

The Wagner glove went through another transaction after it sold in Skinner's - Hunt's bought it from the original buyer at the Greater Boston Sports Collector's Show in November 2011.

:D Going a little NOKONA crazy this month.

First is the Charlie Engle three. I've been looking for one of these for about seven years. I almost missed it. I cleaned it up and added the thin web pieces so that it would somewhat resemble Jim's and Rob's.
I'd almost given up on ever finding one.

Second is a super-soft Pinky Higgins double-laced G47. What a glove! :D

All I can say is you are one lucky dog! That one flew under the radar and should have and would have gone for a lot more. Congrats!

Thanks Rob. You're right, I am a lucky dog! :D I did a double take when I saw it listed and set to end in a couple of hours. I hadn't even noticed it before that. I had a bunch more on it when I won it, too. :D My daughter was in the middle of writing an essay for school and I begged on with about two minutes to go and posted a couple more bids just to be sure that when I got outbid, the buyer would feel the pain. :D
Then I won it ! Leave it to Nakona to make it out of such great leather. It really cleaned up nicely.
