Just received this one a couple of days ago. This is an OK Manufacturing Joe Dimaggio. Never had one of these before. Always admired them. It was stiff and crusted with big time corrosion on most of the grommets when I received it. It came with no usable lace and one small web piece. Here's how it cleaned up.

I happened to have two appropriate web pieces kicking around so I plugged them is and cleaned and conditioned the glove. Now the only problem is that it's got some fairly significant buried mold either in the finger stalls or in the padding. I asked the seller about his having not mentioned mold. He's gone over to the , "no backs, you've touched it." side of the fence. This is the eye-stinging kind of mold my wife absolutely hates to have around the house, and I can't blame her. I might try to freeze it out or maybe wash it out. For now, it's bagged up where it can't get at us. :|

You might want to try this trick that seems to have worked for me a few times. Stick the glove in your freezer for a few days. The temperatures will kill any mold or mildew. You might still need to go over it with some disinfectant, cleaner, frebreze, etc. to freshen it up and get rid of any musty odor. But the mold should be dead.

Great Idea. In fact, guess where the glove is right now (as of early this morning just before I took my dog out for a hike around the park)? It's in the freezer. I had this problem with an XPG6 several years ago and it lead me to a business in the mid-west called Mid-West Freeze Dry. They offered to freeze it for me and as I recall it was much better when I got it back. I'm hopeful that this will do the trick. Thanks. :D

Curious...almost in exact reverse order of quality. I thought that the G41 was beautiful. As I've learned over the past few days, a lot of potential buyers are "tapped out" for one reason or another.

p.s. The freezer really worked wonders on the OK Joe D. I'd say it's 85% purged. Going back for more freezing tomorrow! If there are any buyers out there, I am ready to part with either my super nice Spalding Jimmie Foxx for about 1/2 to 1/3rd of what it's worth, or my unique Hornsby 648LO in like new condition. pm me if interested. If not, I completely understand. It seems that there are very few buyers out there just now leading up to Christmas and the end of the year. Happy December Everybody! :D
