I can't help but wonder how the Gehrig would have done on Legendary. All those gloves look great. Seems like a different higher priced realm. My guess is that it, too, might have gotten swept up in the "deeper pockets" syndrome and done a little better there.

The Yogi All Star mitt is amazing in terms its original selling price. In 1965 the Spalding 42-739 model sold for $13.45 ! The Yogi All Star model from '61 sold for $12.45 while in that same year the Yogi Professional sold for $42.95. That same year Spalding's best Catcher's mitt (the Joe Torre Personal) sold for $46.95 and the Yogi "Personal Model" sold for $39.95. Nothing against any glove doing exceedingly well, but give me the Personal or Pro Model in lesser condition any day.

Happy Thanksgiving Guys,

Here's the Ken-Wel base mitt after some cleaning. I'm hoping it's a non-zipper Gehrig. I still think it might be.

Thanks for the photos, Mike. I sure would like to catch a couple of tosses with it.

Thanks, Kenny,
I surprised myself with the way the cloth label cleaned up. Go back and take a look at the "before" picture. I tried something new this time with a little mild soap and a little water, and an old electric toothbrush (gently applied). It's nice and white now. :D
