This Spalding Al Dark glove stand sold for $65 - seems like it should have done a little better.

I am very happy with the price it sold for. It was $40.00 below my max bid

Mint Wilson AL Kaline 177.59 (I did not win) and a 2 for one on a GC Alexander with a Joe Medwick for 179.99. The Medwick is beat but I thought the GCA was worth the money on its own (did buy as a BIN)

Hey Guys, this ended last week. This is not a glove, but out of curiosity does anyone know why this ball went for what it did? I am not a ball guy but am blown away at price realized for this ball with a solo picture.

It's a reproduction and probably had some shill bidders working the price.

Something fishy there. Winning bidder had zero feedback and no bid history.

This mid 1950's MacGregor G105 "Willie Mays" Personal Model sold for $449 on ebay. This was kind of the ultimate when I was collecting the MacG "Spider Web" gloves. Joe has an old ad for it in the Baseball Glove Catalog Source Book. I picked mine up in a trade and couldn't believe how nice it was after cleaning off a layer of grime. I had been collecting the Ewell Blackwell, Les Fleming and other models but this was front row center of my MacG collection.

A very nice Spalding "Babe Ruth" Home Run Special glove and picture box sold for $5500 on ebay. Glove and box look to be in good shape despite the wear and tear. The Signature and other stampings look legible on the face of the glove . Nice cloth patch, leather piping and lining on the back. The auction ended early with a BIN seven minutes after posting.

A 1960's Spalding "Rocky Colavito" model 42-233 sold for $241 on ebay. "Colavito" gloves are always popular. The glove is in pristine condition. I like the change in terminology Spalding uses for the Rawlings patented features. The Rawlings "Double X Web" becomes the Spalding "Cross Flex Web" and the Rawlings "Flex-O-Matic Palm" becomes the Spalding "Radial Laced Heel". The patent number visible on the glove refers to the laced wrist strap.

Here is an ad for the Rawlings version of the glove above. This "Big 8" glove feature the "L-Heel" rather than the "Ed-U-Cated Heel" of the "Colavito" glove above.

A 1963 era Rawlings model XPGP HOH glove sold for $975 on ebay. This glove is on a lot of people's favorites list because of the "Dual Step Down Palm" feature. This example is pristine. Because this new palm design eliminated the classic "Lazy S " palm lacing, I am curious if it led the way for the "Flex-o-Matic Palm" lacing that began around the same time.

Here is an ad for another rarity, A Rawlings "Playmaker" model "Big R" with both the "Dual Step Down Palm" and the "Flex-O-Matic" radial lacing.

Circa 1959 Spalding "Rocky Colavito" Personal Model 1141 sold for $272 on ebay. As I stated before, the "Colavito" gloves are popular models for collectors. This one had 23 bids. According to Joe's Vintage Baseball Glove Catalog Source Book, this was Spalding's top of the line glove in 1959. The glove is in great shape and brought a good price for the seller.

This is a curious Rawlings "Mickey Mantle" HOH model LB12. It sold for $299 on ebay. the glove is stamped "the H-Web" on the side. I wonder if it is a commemorative model of Mantle's playing glove issued after he retired.
