Three from the ebay bargain bin. First is a MacGregor Goldsmith "Earl Torgeson" model XSN basemitt for $8. . Another victim of really poor picture taking. I enhanced the photos here to show off the mitt a little better. Everything is there and in good shape, nice cloth patch. Some loose lacing at the web. I've always loved the "Snare" models. One of MacG's better basemitts in 1949

Second is a 1940's Rawlings "Bill Doak" model that sold for $13 on ebay. THe ebay pictures were so dark, one couldn't see there was even a cloth patch. I enhanced the photos to show off the glove a little better.

Third, john reminded me about a glove I bookmarked and forgot. This great looking "Gordon Slade" model for only $20.

Circa 1970 Rawlings XFCB HOH glove that sold for $86 on ebay. Despite a worn inner lining, this top of the line glove is in good overall shape and brought a lot of bids possibly because of the popular "Bellows Web" design

Here's the same Walter Lutzke glove cleaned up and shot in the daylight. All the seams are good. The lining and interior is great.. Even the label is proving to be better than it first appeared. The endorsement is also very clear with its weird positioning down around the corner on the lower right side.

You did a nice job! A layer of dust over the years hid a real beauty.

1940's MacGregor Goldsmith "Leo Durocher" model RL "The Flash" sold for $100 on ebay. I owned this model at one time. Typical MacG quality construction, great cloth patch and intricate web.

circa 1930 Goldsmith "Mace Brown" model G12 for $35. Very little use on this one. Most of the silver stamping intact. Reasonable price for a nice looking glove.

1940's Hutch "Larry Steinbeck" model catchers mitt for $55 on ebay. One of Hutch's better catchers mitts, this one has a distinctive back.

1950's Spalding "Warren Hacker" model 1007 sold for $37 on ebay. The top endorsed model in the Spalding catalog. This model doesn't feature the V-anchored web so the price was kept down. All in all a nice looking glove.

ebay seller battsandmitts had a nice barn find in my old stomping grounds of Woodland, CA. An early 1900's catchers mitt, mask and ball. The mitt is definitely vintage with a grommet web but nothing special, the mask is very nice and intact and the lemon peel ball is pristine. They sold together as a lot for $777.

Mike, I got the brother to that glove from Robbie (luckydogkind ) a few years back. LOL These old gloves make the circle within our hobby. Shoot I am almost think Robbie got it from you? It is a very nice old pre-war glove and is a nice represenative glove for the pre-war gloves. I used a picture of the one I have in my new glove book. By the way, I will put a note on the forum within a few days of the tv show that shared my glove collection. The glove story lasted a shade over 8 minutes and was a lot of fun when they came and filmed. I will also include a link on the forum so any interested glovers can have a look see at the tv show.

Catch you later.
