I would have loved to add the Bon Tober to my hartford collection but it was too rich for my blood. The VWD was very nice but I had to laugh at the description - it said it was a top line glove but a quick glance at Joe's source book will show you there were 18 gloves ahead of it on the line. Never let facts get in the way of a good auction description. :) I wonder if the allure of these gloves being from Bill Mastro's collection helped the prices because the Musial box isn't too rare and 5700 seems really high for it.

Hi Guys, Wow those are some nice gloves but with some mighty hefty prices too.

I wonder what the new year will bring. Seems like prices are on moving north for those old timers.

I though Mastronet went out of business due to shady business practices. Where did you find that auction? (Not that I could have afforded any of them).

They formed another auction house - Legendary Auctions - it is the same people sans Bill Mastro.

Very nice selection of mitts! By the looks of it, someone has been spending their Christmas money!
