Nice little glove on ebay went for $34. the lacing is really unique which is not evident here
carneval.jpg

My "Dan Carnevale" glove is pictured below which shows the double lacing of three fingers
carnevale1a.jpg
the finger lacing is routed down the finger stalls to holes above the wrist allowing adjustment of the gap between the fingers. Pretty interesting design!

Two crescent pad catcher's mitts from the same ebay seller have a lot going for them. They have been re-listed, down from $450 reserve to $400. Both are in beautiful condition with great eye appeal and what is keeping them back is their smallish size. The materials and workmanship are more of a mid level quality. Still, for the right price, these would be a nice addition to someone's turn of the century collection. First is a Spalding crescent pad mitt. Nice patch and hook and eye wrist strap

The second is a Victor Crescent pad mitt with a nice buckle web. Of the two mitts, this is definitely the one to go for. Got to love the rare Victor cloth patch on the back!

Classic 1960's Wilson A2374 "Luis Aparicio" model for $56 on ebay

Really nice deep markings in the pocket, great cloth patch and that unique hinged web

I can see why the Wilson A2000 design was so popular, this is a real solid looking glove and it is a mid-line model.

1929 Reach, Wright and Ditson "Sam Hale" model glove. Has the patented finger strap and web design that really sets this glove apart. Brought only $78 on ebay however. Maybe the glove being a lefty didn't help. Hale came to the Reach company requesting a glove to be made to his design and Reach accommodated him, at least that is what the ad for the glove states. This glove makes up the third version of the patent design, the Spalding "Eddie Farrell" model and the Reach "OOW" model being the other two.

Had my eye on this one because of the unique wrist strap! sold for $86 on ebay. No maker visible but the glove is in great shape inside and out.

This has the look of a D&M glove and could be the"Chuck Klein" model from the 1930's. The ebay listing was pretty vague. I think some D&M gloves in this era had pinky lacing and they were in grommets. The finger lacing here maybe is home-made and has gone wild! Finger stall bondage! Love the look though. Nice tunnel loop web and overall in decent shape. Went for $53 on ebay

circa 1967 Wilson top of the line A2000 glove with unusual raised seam defining the lower edge of the pocket above the heel. Dual hinged web. In the mid 1960's, Wilson patented several hinged web web designs (see the Wilson "Aparicio" glove above) Really a classic "workhorse" of a glove. Sold for $105 on ebay

Mid 1960's Sonnett TW45 "Willie McCovey" model basemitt. Someone got a good deal for $29 on ebay. I've owned the "Norm Cash" model from this era and they were some well made mitts.

I like the "T" web. looks to be a good size mitt
