Circa 1950 Wilson two finger "Top Notch" model 2020. This is a large size glove and top of the line. Did not meet the $165 reserve on ebay. Very similar and possibly just as nice as the one sold last month for $240. Hard to figure. This is a nice glove in every way. Re-listed at $150

Early 1950's Rawlings "Mort Cooper" model MC glove in good condition. Sold for $125 on ebay. I owned the BD model and basically the same glove as here. This series of gloves was a nice precursor to the HOH gloves to come

1930's J.C.Higgins "Chuck Klein" 1672 model for $150 on ebay. Looks a little bit like the D&M model. I like the double tunnel loop web and nice buckle back

"Gene Woodling" PM1 3-finger glove in good condition for $30 on ebay. Nice mid 50's model featuring the "Wrist Snugger" and "V-Anchored" web. Cloth patch in great shape as is the inner lining. A good deal for the winning bidder
After one week gone by, I chose this glove as the "buy of the week" at $30. I really liked the MacGregor Goldsmith "Les Fleming" model at $26, but chose this glove because it displays the classic Latina inventions and was more of a top of the line model. I missed the D&M Babe Ruth glove from last month, so if anyone has a favorite that I missed this first week, please post it!

1960's Sonnett "Orlando Cepeda" glove. At this point the the design of the glove was based on the Wilson "Ball Hawk 6" or the "Big 6" model. Looks like a pretty good size glove. Went for $36 on ebay.

super looking 1960's Wilson A2001 "Shooting Star" Pro model. The glove has been profesionally relaced and reconditioned. What a rich brown leather! sold for $214 on ebay

Circa 1950 Wilson "Bob Feller" "Ball Hawk 4" model 2030 glove. Real nice looking glove and an endorsement I haven't really seen before. One of the nicer gloves in the 1950 Wilson catalog. Listed on ebay a couple of times in August with a $49 min. and no takers. Eventually sold for $104. Kind of crazy. Maybe seller lowered the minimum to draw in more bidders.

Another Vintage Wilson "Ball Hawk" "Ernie Banks" 2125 personal model glove from the late 1950's. Sold for $129 on ebay. From the listing, he is a rare endorser on a "Personal Model" glove. Interesting to see the similarities and differences between this model and the earlier Bob Feller model posted just up from this post.

Beautiful Rawlings 1940-50's Bill Doak 5BD "Improved" model with the great Rawlings "black cloud" patch. A lot of silver left in the markings! Sold for $149 on ebay. I've owned this model before. Always liked the added patented strap joining the two tunnel webs.

Seller did not know what they had and not much description, Just "old glove". Sold for $5 on ebay. The "Playmaker' patch should have piqued someone's curiosity. The front view photo was bad, but with a close inspection there was the "Playmaker Supreme" on the pinky. Circa 1951 top of the line 3 finger glove in decent shape for $5. One lucky bidder!

1960's Sonnett "Cal McLish" model CM glove for $14 on ebay. A real nice looking glove, high quality with "Velvotan" leather and a great cloth patch. Seems like a bargain to me.

Nice 1950's Nokona basemitt listed as model HTF? and inscribed Joe "Something". Joe Jackson? I like the creative lacing added by the previous owner to the web, pretty cool looking. The pleated seams on the back are really interesting. Riveted wrist strap and nice cloth patch. Overall, a distinctive mitt. Only brought $10 on ebay

Here is a nice early glove amidst all these 50's & 60's gloves & mitts. A 1920's Stall & Dean glove in pretty good shape. Typical large wrist opening and skinny wrist strap, tunnel loop web And the inscription, "Insist on Stall & Dean" on the back of the thumb. Sold for $20 on ebay. The original ebay photos were really bad, dark as hell. I tuned them up in "Google Picassa" to see what the glove actually looked like after the auction. I wish I would have looked into this listing closer while it was still active. If you want the good stuff, got too learn how to use the technology.

Below are the two photos as they were originally on ebay. It would be easy to pass up a glove when presented with poor photos
