White gloves knock your socks off

Postby softball66 » January 5th, 2007, 9:25 am

We know how some of us just love those white or cream color gloves. Take a look at these handsome white mitt (mouse ran up the clock on one of them) but wow! Nice! Seller also has some more so pull up his or her other listings.

I would say that mouse was treated to meals that cost about $1000 per.

It's Decision Time

Postby softball66 » January 6th, 2007, 9:28 am

Pull up the seller's other nice eBay mitt:

Now the back is a "show stopper" the front is rather blase'. Most collectors like to display their gloves to the front. Yet there is such a contrast here between front and back and the reverse here is worth putting on the shelf this side out. Be interesting to see what this mitt generates.
Sorry if I rained on anyone's parade by posting these ebay items. I'm sure I've helped the eBay seller a bit. :?:

expensive appetite

Postby stockbuddy » January 6th, 2007, 7:21 pm

That mouse had an expensive appetite. LOL Those are still very cool gloves. Just wish that mouse had not gotten to them.

look who bought 'em

Postby softball66 » January 8th, 2007, 8:52 am

Apparently Dave Bushing bought the pair of gloves for around $1100.
He'll probably get the second glove repaired.

Yeah, what a deal for Dave if he flips that glove. Both of those gloves were featured in the "Glove of the Week" thread at the time they sold on ebay.

(http://www.vintagebaseballgloveforum.co ... .php?t=321).

BTW...I am still without a PC at home, if anybody wants to write up last week's glove of the week thread please feel free to do so, I think it would be nice if we could keep it up and running...

I agree Mike, but it only takes one! However, if I had $200 to spend it would be a hard decision between the Ted Simmons and Reggie Jackson import gloves. 8)

Clearance Sale

Postby Mike**Mize » April 24th, 2007, 7:56 pm

I keep seeing a lot of the same items listed on that site. Do they ever have a clearance sale? I want the Selkirk and the Reiser. I don't much care about the boxes.
