This is really a nice and very rare glove up for auction this week. In fact it is the nicest Bouton I have ever seen. Wonder what it will fetch?

The elusive Bouton PM....I know it would look good on my shelf of 'keepers'
As we know Bouton wrote the greatest book ever published...any arguements? I smell a new thread for the forum!!

No argument here. But there was a typo in Bouton's famous last line of his book. It should have read You see, you spend a good piece of your life gripping a baseball GLOVE and in the end it turns out that it was the other way around all the time.

Definitely the best baseball book I've ever read. It has been a few years since I read it, but I do recall my favorite lines being about the Pilots' manager. The line that sticks out the most is "...go pound the Budweiser".
It is definitely a terrific glove. I suspect Bouton's character could bring a bit of a premium.
