The only connection I could find in the Source Book was a Private Label called Charles C. Carr Athletic Supplies. I did a google search and came up with nothing of use. Still, that might be it.

Herb Pennock

Mike, I don't think it's a Charles C. Carr Athletic Supplies glove. I have one with a tag in the Full Web Gallery as well as a jersey with a tag. I don't think they match up and I think they were an Ohio company. I am leaning toward James W. Brine as that shield logo sure looks like a Brine logo however I would almost swear it said Bon Tober on the left hand side going down. I know Bon Tober gloves were made in CT, not Boston. You are right Brett. I would go with Brine due to the shield and Bon Tober due to the letters on the left hand side. Still a toss-up for me. I have only seen a Pennock in a D&M so I don't know.

Just checking; it turns out Pennock played for the Red Sox circa 1915-1922 and then after his long stint with the Yanks once again in 1934.
