That's like the big one that got away.

Here is another that I missed...I was going to go back and bid but got caught up in the Bills-Bengals game (I know it sounds hard to do, but when you live in Buffalo it happens) and was then disappointed to see th price had not moved. Anyway, I say that I missed it because I am pretty sure it is a Ruth model - the word "Special" is clearly visible in the pics, likely the conclusion of "Home Run Special". I know it is not in great shape, but any Ruth model for $50 is probably a good deal...

And let's not forget the "What the Heck are you Smoking?" category:

I also had my eye on the "Ruth" glove and also got caught up in the Bills-Bengals game- though I wasn't as thrilled with the outcome as the Buffalo fans must have been! Cincinnati seems- once again- stuck in reverse. But that's another post for another sport!

I had checked my Watch List earlier that morning and kind of figured the price would jump as the auction drew to a close. It didn't happen and it's likely to be awhile before another such glove slips under the radar.

Another glove, not quite so prestigious, that I've been looking for ended last night and I missed out on that one, too. I've been looking for a cheap Musial/MW split finger. This one needed some work, but looked like it would clean up well. And it went cheap!
