A 1960's Rawlings Stan Musial model SM6 glove sold for $305. The auction shows what happens when a bidder with a high ceiling bid is challenged and one or the other pays the price.

Brett's SM6 glove below is in far better condition and was auctioned for $139. The glove is one of the more popular Rawlings models partly based on the iconic H-web.

A 1900's crescent pad full web glove sold for $850. It doesn't appear to have diverted finger seams. The cloth patch is missing and there a a couple seam repairs on the front. The glove presents well and overall is in remarkedly good condition for its age.

A circa 1925 Reach grommet web Al Reach model glove sold for $473. It's in fantastic condition. There were four models. I couldn't see any stamp on the glove but I would guess this is model AR. This was Reach's flagship model back in the day. The glove comes with a partial hang tag.

A 1968 Spalding Jim Bunning model 42-201 glove sold for $15. the seller thought this was some old softball glove. It's actually a pretty rare TOTL glove featuring a "Wonder Web" and "Extender Control Back". The glove shows a lot of play wear but miraculously still all there and in collectible condition.

A 1950's Tru-Play Mickey Mantle glove sold for $350. That's a rare one for sure especially in near mint condition. The glove is really well made. The 1956 patent in the pocket is from Denkert Mfg. More than likely the glove was made by Denkert for the Dreier Co. of East Brunswick NJ. The Dreier Co. was a sporting goods store established in 1869. The Tru-Play trademark was registered in 1950.

From Hunt's: A group of gloves sold for $231. Only one of them worth mentioning. It's a Rawlings Bill Doak model 5BD. What's great about it is the fact it's a rare early model from 1934-36 before the laced heel versions took over. The glove is in great shape.
