A Rawlings Mickey Mantle MMP glove sold for $725. Looks to be in great shape.

A Rawlings Mort Cooper MC glove sold for $345. No V-Anchored Web would put the glove 1948-52. That cloth patch is from the late 1950's, well after the MC model was discontinued. This was all discussed earlier in this link:http://www.vintagebaseballgloveforum.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?p=18717

Here's one for you. A 1920's Thos. Wilson "Professional Model" 606 sewn web glove sold for $25. It happens some times with the buy it now feature. This one was in a weird category. Hope Jared was able to snag it.

Again, thanks Mike for coming back to the forum and posting again…makes things fun again. Really appreciate all your knowledge and great info. I know it’s gotta take a lot of time going through eBay listings alone!! Btw, how do you get the pics to save or copy them from eBay…I have no luck doing that, hence why I rarely post anything on here. Is there a trick to it you can teach me/us? I’m sure it’s probably very easy for most, but I’m not a very tech savvy person at all;)

Is the reach KP missing its 1” web? I assume cut or torn off…and the lacing almost looks like a shoe lace but may just be me looking at it weird and the photos a bit tough to tell. The Spalding is stellar!!

Yes Eric, the Reach KP glove has a missing web and shoelace around the wrist and heel. To save an image, just right click on it and a "save as" option will display. Most images on ebay and other auction sites are sized too big for the forum. The forum limits the image max size to 1200h X 1200w pixels. Also, The resolution of images is limited to 256kb for the forum. Also, some internet images are .png extension and I change to jpg. I use MS Windows and edit my images using MS Photos. I don't know how Apple or Android OS works for editing images. Good luck with your collecting!

More nice examples there…

Yeah Mike, I always have trouble uploading photos also… but again, don’t put the time into editing them and trying to make them the correct size. Also, I assume the reason I can never save/copy photos from eBay is because I’m not on a computer, but rather my iPhone and the eBay app. Probably easy to do on computer and the actual website. Thanks for the info…but still don’t think I’ll be able to post much, so keep going man. The history and seeing what pops up here and there is such an asset to the hobby!!

That Don Hoak shows the craftsmanship of top of the line Nokona, which competed with the big boys. Look at that intricate lacing on the web. What a blazer!

Yes, I agree.

An early crescent pad and sewn web glove sold for $1150. A pretty cool antique glove. I like the double stitching for the thumb seam in the palm. The glove has a new liner, piping, wrist strap and button.

A 1920's Marathon by Wards model 4242 glove sold for $239. Pearl colored buffed horsehide. The glove is in good shape but the ink didn't help the final bid.

A couple of oddities:
A Rawlings Mickey Mantle 3 finger model TGF7 glove sold for $135. I couldn't find this model in a Rawlings catalog. I looked in 1969-70 based on the horizontal Holdster slot Rawlings used in those years. The glove looks to be in great shape and has "For The Professional Player" along the pinky even though it is not HOH branded. All in all, a cool glove! Lesser Mantle gloves, even imports have sold for way more.

An unendorsed Rawlings TG12 HOH glove sold for $1000. It looks to be unused. No photos of the back unfortunately. I found a 1969 Rawlings ad showing the history of their gloves and lo and behold there was an unendorsed TG12 depicted. Go figure!

The three finger Mantle is a very cool, experimental novelty glove. I had one a long time ago and have seen a few pop up since then. The problem is they're so small that your hand barely fits inside. That's probably why they're usually in such top condition. They were unused.
