A couple of rare ones.
A MacGregor Ewell Blackwell glove sold for $600. It's pretty much near mint and has the rare extended pocket reminiscent of the older Goldsmith Paul Derringer model. A must have glove for the MacG collector.

A Rawlings Billy Herman glove sold for $125. The glove is pretty beat but its all there. Its big claim to fame is the rare patented finger lacing. The lacing on the front of the finger stalls was a response to the KenWel laced finger patent. A must have glove for the Rawlings collector.

A white leather top-o-the line sewn web 1920's Spalding model BBH "Honor" glove sold for a best offer from the original BIN of $175. Pretty ballsy move by the winner. The glove is worth multiples of that original BIN.

A 1940's Rawlings Bill Doak glove sold for $130. Another military issue. The condition here is optimal.

A 1960's Wilson pro issue model 1592 catchers mitt sold for $150. Could use a good round of treatment from Dr. Jackson but is as solid as you get.

Thanks for posting all the items Mike. That Spalding was really nice - wouldn’t have seen it if you didn’t post.

thanks Brett, there were only 15,000 listings in "gloves and mitts" to go through for those last three. :x
I don't look in that category much. Every so often there is a home run.
But, speaking of Spaldings, there was a nice on today. I think it lasted about 32 seconds.
It's a circa 1912 full web white leather "Club Special" model XL glove. It was a lower end model in the glove section of the Spalding catalog but more than makes up for it by its stellar condition. It is all leather and has a great look to it with super markings in the pocket and a great patch. The piece de reisitance was the stamping on the back of the finger stall. That's rarely seen. The stamp reads. "Licensed Patent No. 881,315 March 10, 1908." That number refers to the famous diverted seam patent. Later models had this stamp on the front of the glove. Pretty cool. Oh yeah, it went for $179. Quite a bargain.

A highly anticipated S&D basemitt and signed 1930's Phil. A's baseball sold for $462. The mitt is pretty unique looking and striking with the two tone leather and buckle web. That ball is no slouch either with a whole passel of HOF sigs. Quite a combo!
