One from the vault...

At first glance this glove appears to have a full web. A closer look shows that the webbing is essentially two large tunnels, each attaching to the thumb and finger through three sets of grommets. The two pieces are then anchored together by lacing that runs between them.

Lemuel Floyd "Pep" Young played from 1933 to 1941 mainly as a second-sacker for the Pirates, missed three years due to the war, then made a brief comeback in '45. Hutch catalog data is hard to come by. Based on his career years this glove could fall anywhere from the late 30's to about 1940.

When working on the webbing, I managed to salvage all of the original laces.

Hi Bret,

Cool glove with a different web. If you take a notion to trade or sell the glove, you might drop me an email at cunninghamd1707@yahoo.com Maybe we could work out a deal on it.

Thanks for sharing the pics.
