Here are the two latest additions to my Sonnett glove collection. The first glove here is a Jimmy Piersal model D4FL. The leather is very soft and feels great on the hand. As you can see from the picture, there is quite a bit of silver left in the stampings and the tag looks great!
The second glove here I just picked up at the local antique store in Naperville. I was very excited when I picked it up to find out it was a Sonnett catcher's mitt - something I had yet to add to my collection. The weird thing is that it is endorsed by Walker Cooper. I have only seen his name on Rawlings gloves. I know that Sonnett and Wilson had shared endorsers so this one is a little strange. All of the leather on the glove is very soft and the tag is huge. The stampings are pretty strong - the Walker Cooper endorsement is a block print.
