Request for Help/More Info on Glove

Hello, and thank you for adding me to the group. I have searched here and the internet and learned a lot, but a baseball glove forum sounded like the place that would have even more info. I have read everything here, and a bit more online, on the H. B. Doc Hughes Made in Mexico glove. I have not found anything telling me what C30 means, or how to date the glove.

This glove belonged to my father. He was born in 1934. It is in really good shape (no holes, worn places or scratches). (I've tried several ways to make photos show here, but nothing has worked.

As you can see here, he wrote his name on two fingers. :-/ Does this make it less valuable?
This is more the true color (those above were taken in another room and light was brighter)

Thank you in advance for your help. Any websites, links, etc you can suggest are appreciated.

Hey, welcome to the Forum. Those H.B. Doc Hughes gloves are cool. There's a great story about Hughes in the Glove Library of my site. Go to http://www.baseballglovecollector.com and login. Then go to the Glove Library and go to Page 3. It's the fourth article down. Joe Phillips sent this to me years ago. Says they were sold in '46 and '47.

I found your website yesterday, but did not get to that wonderful article! Thank you for pointing it out.

Should I clean the glove, or condition it with something?
