Newbie w/a few gloves I know nothing about...

Postby Roger » July 30th, 2017, 5:14 am

Hello,

I found these gloves at a garage sale for $3 each, I contacted Rawlings on the 1B mitt, but they didn't know either.

Any help about these would be great!

Thanks,

Roger

Pretty cool mitt - I'd go along with what the Rawlings guy said - possible sample/prototype model. Definitely worth the $3 you paid.

It may be the model SG360 from the mid 80's. The SG line were for softball. They were a step below the Heart of Hide models and made in Japan. It is very possible yours is a prototype experimenting with a different leather (may be a saleman's sample). It looks high quality and in super condition. Nice find!

It is a low end softball glove from the 70's-80's. It is cheaply made with vinyl piping and not worth much. Stick to models that are all leather.
