Need a lefty catchers glove for my young son

Postby robert1977 » May 15th, 2015, 4:43 pm

I figured I would ask:

I need a broken-in catcher's glove that fits a lefty. My 8-year-old son plays travel baseball. Long story short, he became the backup catcher. I bought him a 1970s Manny Sanguillen lefty Rawlings glove from a baseball-collectibles store in my city about a year ago. He loves it. It fits him perfectly and it was already broken in when I bought it.

The problem is: It was tearing at a seam when I got it, and now the tear is a full-on rip.

Does anyone out there have the same Sanguillen glove that they'd be willing to sell (or something similarly as great)? I don't want to buy him a new catchers glove that will a) have to be broken in, and b) not be used more than 30 innings this year.

Any help you guys could give would be great. Thanks so much for your time.

I have some lefthanded catchers gloves that you may be interested in. A rawlings lance parrish and a Mizuno prospect. Are you still looking for a glove
