What a quick but super tiring week at the Brimfield Antiques Market! The fun started Monday night when I hosted three esteemed collector friends at my house - William Peebles, Dan Hauser and Ed Turner. Dan and Ed are the coauthors of the Antique Sports Uniforms & Equipment book along with John Gennantonio (http://www.booksamillion.com/p/Antique- ... 0764330186). We had fun talking about collecting, chatting over a delicious pile of food until we noticed it was getting late and the early morning wake up call would be upon us soon. Tuesday started off well with a couple of glove purchases and by the end of the morning I had found a couple other items that I was happy with. Tuesday afternoon I have a booth that I sell stuff from - sales were strong and I was happy with the amount of items sold. Got back to the house late Tuesday evening and pretty much went right to sleep to get up early again the next day. Wednesday was chilly to start with and there wasn't much to be found on the fields. Did see something that caught my eye as we were leaving and was able to pick it up Thursday morning. After I got home Wednesday afternoon, John Graham stopped by my house for a bit and I was able to catch up with him and see what he's been up to - he's got some neat projects in the works that I'm sure you'll see sometime in the future. Unfortunately, Thursday's field proved to be pretty barren but I was happy with my finds for the week so I wasn't too bummed out. Didn't have any expectations for Friday but was happy to come across a few nuggets of vintage goodiness. Overall, it was a great week with perfect weather, lots of delicious food and tons of fun. Always a a great time. My favorite item in the picture below is the cool Play OK Antiques pennant William crafted for me - he even used Duke colors!

It's not black - just a super dirty D&M from the 1930's - thinking it should clean up ok.
