Good Day Guys,
I recently stumbled across a Hugh Critz/Horace Ford Double Play Alex Taylor & Goldsmith model glove. I have seen the Goldsmith KB Model, but not a Goldsmith & Alex Taylor KB Double Fritz/Ford mitt. What year do we think this is roughly? Have we seen others that have the Alex Taylor cloth label and Goldsmith stampings in the palm?

Thanks Hope All Is Well & Happy Belated New Years.

Jared

This seems to be the typical combination manufacture's and store's tags on same glove. Doesn't happen that often but a colorful look to the back of the glove.
I think Alex Taylor was a New York Sporting Goods store. Most of the time the store would get just its own label but it's neat to have a dual patch glove.
The Double Play glove featuring two players is a rarity in itself. Hugh Critz was considered one of the finest 2nd basemen of the 1930s. Fort seemed to have a
shorter career but must have been a dandy.
We didn't see many combination name gloves like this until the 1970s when MacGregor and Rawlings in particular put dual to quadruple names on their gloves.
