Christmas came early for me this year in the form of this Geo. Reach Rainey web. Seems like I had been looking for one forever. Little did I know that it was hiding out at the National and that Brett would find it and send it my way. No endorsement, stamped Professional Model on the heel. Thanks again!

Rookie Questions: Is it the lacing through the web that makes it a "Rainey" web? Who was Rainey?

Hey Bill, yes, the style of the web or trap was designed by Edward J. Rainey for Spalding in 1934. Here is a copy of the patent. Full patent is in the Library.
