This one arrived in the mail just yesterday and I couldn't get it out of the shipping box quick enough. A bit of a cleaning is all it needed...its already one of my top 5 favorite gloves. This two-tone, full web is large, soft, supple, and has a pristine interior and mfg. patch...if held the right way, one can still faintly see the Reach logo and "Reach Special" on the heel area. I'd love to definitively date this one but haven't yet had a chace to go thru all the Reach catalogs in JD's online library....I do know that Reach made the "Special" without a crescent pad all the way back to 1906 or so.

Anyway, just thought I'd share it with the community at large. As if it needed to be said, I'm always in the market for gloves and mitts of this calibur and have been in the mood to trade of late...trying to save the $$$ for the National

Hi Jon,

Cool old glove and looks to be a real quality glove. Love the oldies.

Wow, that did clean up nice. Terrific looking glove! I'd be interested in the time frame for when the Reach and Spalding two-tone gloves were made, too. I have a Reach with just the black middle finger and a wool liner. I would love to find a picture of one in a catalog.
