Gloves and the animal world

How many real or imagined animals are associated with gloves via brand, cloth patches, logo or other stampings? The Stall & Dean mythological winged Griffin Brett brought up would be a good starting point. I could locate a picture if you just want to list something. If you have a picture then even better. I have an obscure one later that may stump some of you.

Nicodemus the D&M dog

The horse on Des Moines gloves.
The lion on that terrific Goldsmith glove.
Dubow's Pelican.
And of course, the bull on Rawlings HOH models.

MacGregor and Nokona had the Kangaroo logo.
Nokona recently has the Bison logo on its Buffalo gloves.
I know we're forgetting some more.

There are some tough ones there I've never heard of. I'll see what I can do. Here are some easy ones. This Nokona just sold on ebay for $200. Nice mitt with an outstanding logo.

The Dubow "Pelican" model

The Horace Partridge logo is one of my favorites

This one is a little more obscure. A stylish "Al Van Camp" model Wolverine Arms base mitt from ebay a while back.

I never would have thought of the Noah's Ark brand. That is a good one. A "Vince DiMaggio" model below

A D&M "Red Ruffing" model with "Nick" the bird dog featured on the cloth patch.

A fairly rare Des Moines brand glove with the logo of a horse rearing up.

A very nice Buffalo Leather "Scooper" model.

I found this mitt based on Joe's Catalog Source Book. It is a Swallow model. Maybe this is the mitt Carmi mentioned. Tsumabe means swallow in Japanese.

One of my favorite laced gloves, the American Eagle 'Warren Spahn" model

Goldsmith model TB with "Strong as a Lion" in the scroll

MacGregor model KC3 with kangaroo stamp in the pocket. Sold for over $900 a few years ago before the recession.

the Rawlings "Heart of Hide" Bull in the pocket of this XPG6 Mantle model

A nice Wilson Ball Hawk 3 model

The most obscure one I can come up with is this Ed Maynard Co. "All Star" model. Ed was the son of D&M co-founder John Maynard.

The pocket stamping features a pooch with the "The sign of the Little Dog" in the scroll

Don't know if it's been mentioned but found a Red Fox (label) Japan glove yesterday, but didn't buy it. It's a brand distributed by Red Fox uniform company, Desoto, Texas, which once made the
uniforms for the Dallas Cowboys. Anyone interested I can buy the glove for about $20 at local antique mall. Glove is in ex. condition.
